My name is Bas, I’m 36 years old and I consider myself as a world citizen.
I live as minimalistic as possible, I eat ecological and my life is one big travel adventure.
This year, I decided that it was time to make a change. A change for myself, for my loved ones and all the other people who are ready for it. And I hope that includes you.
About a year ago a friend of mine made me aware of the Zero Waste Project of two Dutch girls. They made me realise that we are producing an incredible amount of plastic in this world. Just to pack our food. I suddenly realised that I was creating a lot of plastic garbage, just because I was supporting ‘the system’.Go into a regular supermarket and you know what I mean. Absolutely everything packed in plastic. From fruits, to cookies and from bread to drinks.
But do we actually have to buy all these goods in plastic? I really don’t think so. What if we decide to just opt out of the system? If we stop buying things packed in plastic?
That was the moment I started looking for solutions. Solutions that made my life so much better. Solutions that will make the world so much better.
On this website I aim my arrows at plastic bottles. I think bottles have the biggest direct impact on our health. Of course, I don’t want to eat vegetables wrapped in plastic either, but the amount of plastic in the water of a plastic drinking bottle is the worst of all. So let’s decrease those straight away. Let’s work together, think conciously about our buying decisions, and make the world a better place.
To be honest, right now in October 2019, I haven’t got a clue to which levels I can take this project. I want to make a change, but to make a true impact, I need help from all of you.
We have all been ignoring this problem for too long, myself included, but we can always choose today to make a difference.
It wasn’t so hard to solve the problem for myself and it made things in my life so much better. And that is what I want to achieve: to make things better. For everybody. So are you ready to make a change too?
